Features
Everything a finance council needs — and nothing that touches the money.
Stewardvine is software for attended, contactless offertory giving. Every feature is built around one fact: the gift settles directly into your parish's own Square account, and Stewardvine is never in the path of a donation.
Contactless giving
A parishioner gives with a card, phone, or watch — a one-time gift or a recurring commitment. Attended only: a staff member or volunteer presents the device during or after the offertory, so the gift keeps the dignity of the collection basket rather than replacing it.
Instant donor confirmation
The donor sees an on-screen confirmation the moment the gift is made. It is a transaction record, not a tax receipt — your parish continues to issue the official IRS contribution acknowledgment as it always has.
Offertory reconciliation exports
Our marquee feature. Stewardvine's exports map line-by-line to your Square deposit and settlement batches, so weekend count sheets and finance-council reports tie back to what actually landed in the bank. Details below.
Parish-admin dashboard
Manage giving from one calm dashboard, protected by multi-factor authentication (MFA) and least-privilege roles — the bookkeeper, the pastor, and a volunteer each see only what their role needs. Administrative actions are recorded in an audit log.
Data export & portability
Your donor data is yours. Export it in one click, any time. Stewardvine does not sell or share donor data, and there is no lock-in — because the records and the funds belong to the parish.
Works alongside your existing tools
Stewardvine is compatible with your existing Square account and your church management software (ChMS). It works alongside what you already run — this is a fit for your finance workflow, not a rip-and-replace of it.
The marquee feature
Exports that tie to the bank, not just to a report.
Reconciliation is where most giving tools quietly fail a finance council. Stewardvine is built the other way around: every gift can be traced from the on-screen confirmation to the exact Square deposit batch it settled in.
Each gift is recorded with its settlement details
When a donation is made, Stewardvine records the metadata — amount, fund, date, and the Square payment identifiers — without ever handling the funds themselves.
Gifts group into the same batches Square settles
Square processes and settles donations directly into your parish's own account in deposit batches. Stewardvine's export mirrors those batches line-by-line, so a batch on the report is the same batch on your bank statement.
Your count sheet and finance report tie out
Volunteers count the basket; the export accounts for the contactless gifts; both reconcile to the deposit. Nothing is blended, and nothing is unaccounted for.
Aligned with diocesan best practice
This mirrors the reconciliation guidance in the USCCB publication Diocesan Financial Management: A Guide to Best Practices, so your controls map to what your diocese already expects. exact section references before publishing.
Because Stewardvine never accepts, holds, or transmits donor funds, reconciliation is always a comparison between your Square deposits and your count sheets — Stewardvine simply makes the two easy to line up.
The load-bearing promise
A reminder of where the money goes.
How the money flows
sits off to the side — it bills a separate ~1% software fee by its own invoice, and is never in the path of a gift.
